1. Introduction
This Seller Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal contract between you ("Seller," "you," or "your") and HalalHub ("we," "us," or "our"). By registering as a seller on HalalHub, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
This Agreement governs your use of the HalalHub marketplace to list, sell, and fulfill orders for products.
2. Seller Eligibility
To become a seller on HalalHub, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid business registration (where required by law)
- Provide accurate business and tax information
- Have a valid bank account for receiving payments
- Agree to comply with our halal verification requirements
3. Halal Compliance Requirements
Certified Sellers
If you claim halal certification, you must:
- Upload valid halal certification documents from recognized certification bodies
- Maintain current, unexpired certifications
- Notify us within 7 days if certification is revoked or expires
- Renew certifications annually and upload updated documents
Self-Declared Sellers
If you are not certified but sell halal products, you must:
- Complete our halal self-declaration form
- Truthfully attest that products meet halal requirements
- Provide detailed ingredient and sourcing information upon request
- Accept responsibility for halal compliance of your products
4. Fees and Payments

Payment Terms: Funds are held in escrow until the buyer confirms delivery. Once confirmed, funds are released to your Stripe Connect account within 2-3 business days.
5. Product Listings
When creating product listings, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and honest product descriptions
- Use high-quality images of actual products
- Clearly state all ingredients and potential allergens
- Set fair and accurate prices
- Keep inventory levels accurate and up-to-date
- Clearly indicate halal certification status (certified or self-declared)
Prohibited Products
The following are strictly prohibited on HalalHub:
- Non-halal food products (pork, alcohol, etc.)
- Products containing haram ingredients
- Counterfeit or stolen goods
- Illegal substances or items
- Products that infringe on intellectual property rights
- Weapons or dangerous items
6. Order Fulfillment
As a seller, you are responsible for:
- Processing orders within 2 business days
- Packaging products safely and appropriately
- Shipping orders within the stated timeframe
- Providing accurate tracking information
- Handling returns and refunds per our Return Policy
- Maintaining proper food safety and handling procedures
7. Customer Service
You agree to:
- Respond to buyer inquiries within 24-48 hours
- Resolve disputes in good faith
- Cooperate with HalalHub in dispute resolution
- Maintain professional and respectful communication
8. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your seller account if you:
- Violate any terms of this Agreement
- Misrepresent halal status of products
- Receive excessive negative reviews or disputes
- Fail to fulfill orders or respond to customers
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
Upon termination, you must fulfill all pending orders. Funds for completed orders will be released per normal schedule, minus any applicable fees or refunds.
9. Intellectual Property
You represent that you have the right to sell all listed products and that your listings do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights. You grant HalalHub a license to use your product images and descriptions for marketing purposes.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HalalHub, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your products or services
- Your violation of this Agreement
- Your violation of any law or regulation
- Any claim of intellectual property infringement
11. Limitation of Liability
HalalHub is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid to HalalHub in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to Agreement
We may update this Agreement periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
