By accessing or using HalalHub ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Platform.
HalalHub reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Platform.
2. Description of Service
HalalHub is an online marketplace connecting buyers with sellers of halal products. We provide a platform for:
- Buyers to discover and purchase halal-certified or halal-declared products
- Sellers to list and sell their halal products
- Secure payment processing and order management
- Dispute resolution between buyers and sellers
3. User Accounts
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services.
4. Buyer Terms
As a buyer on HalalHub, you agree to:
- Pay for products at the listed price plus any applicable taxes and shipping
- Provide accurate shipping information
- Communicate respectfully with sellers
- Use our dispute resolution process for any issues
- Not engage in fraudulent transactions
5. Seller Terms
As a seller on HalalHub, you agree to:
- Provide accurate product descriptions and images
- Ensure all products listed are genuinely halal (certified or self-declared)
- Ship products within the stated timeframe
- Maintain valid halal certifications where claimed
- Respond to buyer inquiries promptly
- Accept the Platform's commission structure (10% of sale price)
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
6. Halal Verification
HalalHub offers two types of halal verification:
- Certified Halal: Products from sellers with valid halal certification from recognized certification bodies
- Self-Declared Halal: Products declared halal by sellers who attest to halal compliance
While we verify certification documents, we do not independently inspect products. Buyers should exercise their own judgment and contact sellers with specific halal concerns.
7. Payments and Fees
All payments are processed through Stripe. Buyers' funds are held in escrow until orders are delivered. Sellers receive payment minus the Platform's 10% commission after successful delivery confirmation.
8. Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
- List non-halal products or misrepresent halal status
- Engage in fraud or deceptive practices
- Circumvent Platform fees through off-platform transactions
- Harass other users
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the Platform
9. Dispute Resolution
We provide a dispute resolution process for issues between buyers and sellers. Both parties agree to participate in good faith. HalalHub's decisions on disputes are final and binding.
10. Limitation of Liability
HalalHub is a marketplace platform and is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. We are not liable for:
- Product quality, safety, or legality
- Accuracy of product listings or halal claims
- Seller performance or delivery issues
- Any indirect or consequential damages
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Users may close their accounts at any time, subject to completing any pending transactions.
